February 8th at the Blaisdell is going to be one amazing show, as there will be several excellent acts there to take part in Audio Invasion 2012 in Hawaii. promoters BAMP Project and Bill Silva Presents announced that the lineup will include Foster the People, who are known for their 2011 hit “Pumped Up Kicks,” and will be joined by Cage the Elephant, Best Coast and Mariachi El Bronx.
Since Foster the People are the headliners, lets focus on them for a minute. Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, Foster the People has garnered multiple awards and nominations during its short lifespan. The band was named New Artist of the Year at the SharkOne Awards and earned MTV Video Music Award nominations in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Rock Video. Cage the Elephant enjoyed reasonable success with their sophomore album, “Thank You Happy Birthday,” this year and recently finished a stint on tour with the Foo Fighters.
Now they are looking to continue their excellent run with a huge show here in Hawaii. The Blaisdell is set to host Audio Invasion in early February. If you like rock and alternative, and if you like a fun show, then this is something you don’t want to miss.
