That is really all that needs to be said. Hawaii takes a 28-7 lead into halftime, then ends up losing the game on a late Utah State touchdown. What happened? It is time to face facts. The University of Hawaii football team is just really not that good.
Uh now has a 5-5 record, and with that loss they are more than likely out of the WAC title hunt. This is Hawaii’s final year in the WAC, and most thought they would go out as WAC champs. Unless a miracle happens, this will not be the case. As it stands right now, UH still needs another win just to make the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.
How UH can give up a 28-7 lead at home is beyond me. Also, at what point do we start to take a serious look at coach Greg McMackin and the rest of his staff. Offense is down, defense is down, and wins are way down. For someone making over 1 million a year, he should be winning a lot more games.
