The new season of Hawaii Five-0 kicked off this past Monday, and will include a number of familiar faces in guest starring roles. One of those familiar faces will be Tom Sizemore, who will play Internal Affairs Capt. Vince Frye. It seems that not all news for Sizemore is good news though, as he was arrested in Los Angeles on an outstanding misdemeanor battery warrant, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.
Sizemore had no problem posting the $26,000 bail, and was released shortly after he was arrested.
Many of you remember Sizemore from past roles in big movies, including Saving Private Ryan, but most of us most recently remember him from Celebrity Rehab, as we watched him overcome his drug addiction (so it seemed).
Police arrived at Sizemore’s apartment in the 1000 block of Wilshire Boulevard after earlier stopping a man late Monday night for driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz, said Los Angeles police officer Norma Eisenman. Because the driver was on parole, which allowed police to conduct a search of his residence so they drove to the Wilshire Boulevard address.
Once there, they encountered Sizemore, who said he was the man’s roommate, Eisenman said. Narcotics were found in the apartment, she said. Whether or not the narcotics were Sizemore’s has yet to be determined
Police then learned that Sizemore was wanted on the misdemeanor battery charge and arrested him. The Associated Press said Sizemore’s agent was not immediately available. A tweet from the actor after the incident read “A lot of bad information has been out there about me…more info soon. Thank you for your ongoing support…”
Hopefully this isn’t as bad as it looks for Sizemore, who looked like he was beginning to leave his demons behind until this latest incident. No statement was made by CBS or by Hawaii Five-0 executives, so we will have to wait and see if this will affect future episode stints on the show for Sizemore.
According to the Nielsen Ratings, the season 2 premiere of Hawaii Five-0 captured an audience of 12-million viewers. This is definitely something Sizemore will want to continue to be a part of.
