The University of Hawaii football team had quite a week. Not only did they get a huge win at Idaho, but they also got two players into the weekly awards of the WAC.
University of Hawaii linebacker Aaron Brown was named the Western Athletic Conference defensive player of the week and kicker Kenton Chun was chosen the top special teams performer, the conference office in Colorado announced today.
Brown was in on nine tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up another in the Warriors’ 16-14 victory at Idaho. Chun, who is a walk-on senior, kicked a 35-yard field goal with 32 seconds remaining that held up as the difference in the game against Idaho.
Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo was named the top offensive performer.
