University of Hawaii Homecoming Events Schedule

The University of Hawaii will hold its homecoming week October 17^th-23^rd, 2011. There are a ton of activities plan, all of which will culminate with Warrior football game vs. New Mexico State at Aloha Stadium at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, before finishing up on Sunday Oct. 24^th with an art gallery and a Wahine volleyball game.

There will also be a Homecoming Fair on Friday, Oct. 21, at Clarence T.C. Ching Field with bands, food, games, prize giveaways and more. The week is packed with excellent events and activities.

There is a little something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the list of activities and events below.

SUNDAY, OCT. 16

• 5 p.m., Women’s Soccer vs. San Jose State, Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

MONDAY, OCT. 17

• 7 p.m., Wahine volleyball vs. Notre Dame, Stan Sheriff Center.

TUESDAY, OCT. 18

• 11:30 a.m., Homecoming Golf Tournament, Hawaii Prince Golf Course in Ewa Beach.
• 7 p.m., Wahine volleyball vs. Notre Dame, Stan Sheriff Center.

THURSDAY, Oct. 20

• 4–8 p.m., Ka Leo Arts Festival featuring art galleries, slam poetry, performance artists, live concert, McCarthy Mall.
• 6:30–7:30 p.m., College of Education’s 2011 Carl and Alice Daeufer Lecture Series by Dr. Pedro Noguera, “Creating the Schools We Need: A Broader and Bolder Approach to Reform,” Architecture Auditorium.

FRIDAY, OCT. 21

• Parent and Family Relations presents the second annual Family Weekend.
• 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m., School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology Open House, Marine Science Building, Hawaii Institute of Geophysics and Pacific Ocean and Science Technology Building.
• 11:30 a.m.–7 p.m., Golden Scholars Reunion honoring class of 1961 alumni, Orvis Auditorium Courtyard.
• 3:30–7 p.m., Back to Business event featuring two lectures and a networking reception with Shidler alumni, Shidler College of Business.
• 3:30–6:30 p.m., UH-Manoa Homecoming Fair, Clarence T.C. Ching Field; free and open to the public.
• 4:30–6:30 p.m., Travel Industry Management reception and online auction with alumni and friends, George Hall 201 (Sunset Reference Center).
• 7 p.m. (immediately following Homecoming Fair), Wahine volleyball vs. Utah State, Stan Sheriff Center.

SATURDAY, OCT. 22

• Noon –5 p.m., Art Gallery presents East-West Ceramics Collaboration V, Art Building and Art Gallery.
• 5 p.m., Wahine volleyball vs. University of Idaho, Stan Sheriff Center.

• Tuesday, Oct. 11, 4:30–8:30 p.m., College of Engineering 4th Annual “Holmes”coming Celebration, Stan Sheriff Center Arena.

**Members of the UH Alumni Association will receive a special “Alumni Night” discount of 30 percent off ticket prices (maximum of eight tickets) to the homecoming football and volleyball games. A valid UHAA membership card is required when purchasing tickets at the Stan Sheriff Center or the Aloha Stadium (football only) box offices. Tickets are in special sections and supplies are limited.
