A man on the Big Island (Hawaii) has been charged by police for stabbing a fireman in the head with a pen multiple times right near the Hawaii Island fire station.
Dylan Trumpy was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree terroristic threatening. He is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $4,000 bail.
At around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, North Kohala patrol officers responded to a call from the Hawi fire station where they said they saw Trumpy struggling with a male firefighter in the driveway. The firefighter was bleeding profusely from his head.
According to police, Trumpy drove to the station and became disorderly and aggressive, demanding information and names of the firefighters at the firehouse. He allegedly attacked the firefighter and stabbed him in the head multiple times with a ballpoint pen after being asked to leave. The firefighter also suffered abrasions to his face and body during the struggle.
The firefighter – whose name has not been released, was taken to Kohala Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.
This is new; as it is not very often you hear a story of one person stabbing another person in the head with a ballpoint pen.
