As has been the tradition for many of the big shows filmed in Hawaii, Sunset on the Beach will play host yet again to Hawaii Five-0, this time for the season three premiere of the wildly popular show that is filmed entirely in Hawaii.
What many already knew has been confirmed as of today. CBS announced today that it will hold a red-carpet Sunset on the Beach premiere of the crime drama one day before the start of the third season. They did this with the second season premiere as well, and the turnout was amazing. Why not do it again right?
CBS will hold the free advance screening Sept. 23 on Waikiki Beach. The exact time hasn’t been set for the start of the red-carpet arrivals, however, all of the show’s main stars are expected to be there and be a part of the festivities. Peter Lenkov, the show’s executive producer, promised the season three premiere will be “a jaw-dropping, nail-biting, edge-of-your seat ride.”
Normally, red carpet events like this for television shows don’t happen, but as most know, this is Hawaii, and things are done a little differently here. Sunset on the Beach has always been popular in Hawaii, but it really hit a fevered pitch during the 6 year run of LOST. The event continues to become more and more popular, as the Hawaii Five-0 events have been definite crowd pleasers.
If you are making plans to go down this year, then as usual you will want to plan everything out, as parking and getting around will be an issue. Over 10,000 people came out to last year’s Hawaii Five-0 Sunset on the Beach event, and this year event organizers expect this many or more.
Bring your camera and get ready for the season three premiere of Hawaii Five-0, presented by Sunset on the Beach.
