The Wekfest people are in the midst of a big 4-city tour, and their latest stop is our the island of Oahu. Hawaii has always been on top of the import car culture, so there is no surprise that an established event like Wekfest eventually made it way to the islands.
The difference between Wekfest and other car shows is a simple goal to provide a true car show environment of years past, where the main focus is not the nightclub or concert environment, but rather what’s really important: the cars.
At one point car shows could be compared to a urban circus with bikini contests, booty contests, dj battles, mc battles, b-boy battles, wet t-shirt contests, and even a full blown rave. Those days are long gone and the people at Wekfest have cut the fat and now serve up only the good stuff.
Along with the car show there will be a 2 on2 B-boy Battle and an All Styles Battle. Various vendors will be posted throughout the event ranging from clothing companies and auto parts & accessories. All of which you will be able to take full advantage of. Make sure you get out and enjoy the Wekfest show, there will be something for everyone.
