We all want our keiki to have a good time during the Halloween season. They look forward to it so much. The dressing up as their favorite characters, the candy, the friends. While trick or treating is more often than not safe in Hawaii, it still helps families, especially those with very small children, to know that there are certain places you can take you keiki to trick or treat in Hawaii that are absolutely family friendly and safe. Here now is a list of the safest trick or treat destinations in Hawaii for Halloween 2012.
Where to Trick or Treat Safely with the Keiki
*On October 31st unless otherwise noted. While supplies last so get there early.
Royal Hawaiian Center: 5:30 p.m., Oct. 28, 2201 Kalakaua Ave.
Ala Moana Center: 5 to 7 p.m. (look for “Trick-or-Treat Here” sign in store windows).
Kahala Mall: 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Kapolei Shopping Center: 5 to 7 p.m., 590 Farrington Highway. With keiki activities (some for nominal fee) and pumpkin patch.
Koko Marina Center: 5 to 7 p.m., 7192 Kalanianaole Highway.
Pearlridge Center: 7 to 8 p.m., Uptown and Downtown for costumed keiki under age 12.
Ward Centers: 6 to 8 p.m., Ward Warehouse, Ward Centre and Ward Entertainment Complex (look for black bats over store entrances).
Windward Mall: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
