Hawaii’s very own Bruno Mars will be singing the title track on the new Twilight “Breaking Dawn” soundtrack. The local boy has already recorded and has actually already released the song.
The R&B superstar has recorded a new number called “It Will Rain” for the disc, which will hit stores on November 8th. The song will be something of a departure from the usual tone of the music for the series, which has leaned heavily towards grim balladry and dour indie rock. As we all know, Bruno Mars doesn’t sing dour indie rock. So this is quite a departure from what the Twilight soundtracks usually entail.
While Twilight does not need to adjust much of anything to make millions, the studio may be trying to gain more appeal on the soundtrack music front, as sales for past Twilight soundtracks have been less than spectacular.
The Bruno Mars song is actually pretty nice. It is a nice departure from the usual Twilight songs, as with Bruno singing the “It Will Rain” song has a nice melody and is very smooth.
The Twilight “Breaking Dawn” soundtrack will be released on November 8th. There is no original music video for the song yet, but below you can hear “It Will Rain” in its entirety. The only question now; is Bruno Mars team Jacob or team Edward? Enjoy!
