University of Hawaii quarterback Bryant Moniz has been named WAC player of the week for the second time this season. This after his 424-yard and seven-touchdown effort in the first half of what became a 56-14 rout of UC Davis.
This is the second time this year already that Moniz has got the weekly conference award, with the first coming the first week of the season when Moniz used his legs to beat PAC 12 (formerly PAC 10) Colorado.
Moniz did perform very well, however, this was against a football championship sub-division team. While we don’t want to take anything away from Moniz, we can’t help but remember the terrible game that him and the rest of the Warriors had against UNLV last week, which is one of the worst teams in the nation.
Anyway, congrats to Moniz. The Warriors face La Tech this weekend in what is shaping up to be a good contest. Look for a rundown on that game on Thursday.
