There is a bit of good news and bad news for Hawaii gas prices to report. The good news is that as prices are starting to go down again across the country. The bad news is that Hawaii gas prices are not following trend.
According to GasBuddy.com, search results from across the country indicate that prices are falling. Search Hawaii though and you can see that we are still paying well above the national average.
America as a whole was paying right around $3.65 per gallon for regular gas right now. In Hawaii though, gas prices are still averaging just over $4 per gallon, which puts us almost 40 cents above the rest of the nation. this is just more bad news for us, as well as other local companies who have all been taking a hit because of the stock market.
Anyone who is a resident of Hawaii will not find this trend alarming, they will probably find it more annoying than anything. What else does this mean for Hawaii drivers? If you can save money on your automotive state fees before they go up, then you better take advantage of it.
More than likely we are still going to be shelling out the cash at the pump for a while.
