Most of you reading this article won’t remember this – some may, but back in 1991, Jane’s Addiction played quite a show at Aloha Tower, back before it became Aloha Tower Marketplace. It has taken the ban 20-years to get back to the islands, but on December 30th, Jane’s Addiction will headline “Mele Kaliki Rock-a, which will include Primus and Mickey Avalon.
The show will take place on December 30th at the Blaisdell Arena and should be one amazing show, if you are indeed a rock fan, as Jane’s Addiction puts on some pretty wild shows.
There have been a couple of changes to Jane’s Addiction since they were here in 1991. Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins have been joined by new bassist Chris Chaney in concert. The band’s new album, “The Great Escape Artist,” will be released on Oct. 18. The earlier song “Superhero” was the theme for the just-completed HBO series “Entourage.”
Jane’s Addiction also has a new video for the first single off of The Great Escape Artist titled “Irresistible Force.” You can check out that video below and also view all ticket information available. This should be a killer show!

Irresistible Force Video
i was at the show at the aloha towers in 91, both nights it was awsome, glad you guys are coming back.
That was my first concert for my favorite band. I remember, the glory. Sad to say that their December show was cancelled. Glad to see they are still performing on that day in Colorado. The days of affordable concerts are over. As is the art for arts sake. RIP Goldenvoice. RIP Rick.
