Robert Rumburg was reported missing Wednesday after he failed to make a flight to Colorado. His rental car and personal effects were found in the Sunset Beach home where he was staying.

The fire department is concentrating its efforts in shallower waters near the beaches between Sunset Beach to Rocky Point near Haleiwa, where Rumburg’s borrowed white surfboard was found in the ocean.
A fire department rescue boat, helicopter and jet skis are being used in today’s search that resumed at 6:15 this morning.
Fire department divers are searching the area where Rumburg is thought to have entered the ocean.
