The Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts now has scholarships available and is currently accepting applications for the Bill Murata Memorial Scholarship for 2012. The scholarship is awarded annually to only two individuals and is in the amount of $3,000 for each winner.

Applying Procedures
First off, to apply for the HARA scholarship you have to:
- Be a college sophomore or higher with supporting documents.
- Be attending a Hawaii college or university.
- Have exhibited a demonstrable interest and concentration in the area of Hawaiian music, the music of Hawaii, and/or Hawaiian-language poetry.
- Adhere to the criteria specified within the application.
If you come in under the above standards then go ahead and proceed. You can find a downloadable PDF file of the application on the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts website.
Download the application and fill it out. All completed applications should be mailed to:
