Several teens have been arrested in connection with an attack on a bus driver. Police arrested three juvenile males Sunday afternoon for allegedly attacking a bus driver and damaging a bus in the Hawaii Kai area after the driver told them to stop eating.
Police said the three boys — two 15-year-olds and one 16 — were asked by a bus operator to stop eating on his bus. When the boys refused, the bus driver asked them to leave the bus. An argument followed and the boys allegedly attacked the driver. Two of the suspects also damaged the bus door and a window before fleeing on foot. The bus driver realized his identification card was missing.
The incident was reported and police soon found the three teenagers, one of them still with the ID card in his possession.
The three boys face charges of interference with the operator of a public transit vehicle, unauthorized possession of personal information and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
Again, it seems that we report more stories like this of Hawaii’s youth all the time.
